Thumper joined the L5 family in July of 2013. He is a 17 year old Percheron and Quarter Horse cross who is fully trained as a reining horse. This means Thumper knows some impressive moves when teamed up with an experienced rider. Yet he also is gentle and patient enough for our newest beginners. He is a big horse, tall and delightlfully chunky with a big personality to match. You’ll often find him splashing in the water trough, rolling in the mud, picking up things in the arena with his mouth, and generally asking for any attention he can get. Thumper is a big lover and we are so blessed to have him in our program.
